I can hardly wait to share this with you! I rarely get so excited over a recipe, but seriously this strawberry milkshake recipe is SO good, and SO fun (not to mention completely ridiculous and over the top) you HAVE to make one!

First off, you’ll need to get a few fun and fancy Valentine’s themed embellishments. The drink stirrer/treat skewer is from Delovely Details and don’t forget to grab your favorite sprinkles. The hang tag is of course from Paper & Cake, part of our Hugs and Kisses collection.

Use any mason jar as your glass, add a paper straw, rice krispe treats, donuts and mini meringues. We used dark chocolate candy melts for the rim and on the treats to give the sprinkles something to stick to. Now for the strawberry milkshake recipe, use fresh (or frozen) strawberries and vanilla ice cream (plus a little milk) – that’s it! Don’t let anyone tell you to add sugar or food coloring… you don’t need it! For two shakes, it’s just 6 strawberries, 4 big scoops of ice cream and a splash of milk in the blender (I love this blender!), and you can add more ice cream or more milk depending on the consistency you prefer. Don’t forget the whipcream!

Melt your chocolate or candy melts according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Dip small cubes of rice krispe treats – one at a time – use a spoon to smooth out the top if needed.

While the chocolate is still wet, dip it in a small bowl of sprinkles, or use a spoon to pour some on top. Put aside to set.

Dip the top edge of your glass into the melted chocolate, let it set up for just a minute before coating the edge in the sprinkles – pour it on with a spoon this time rather than dipping it in a bowlful.

While the chocolate rim is setting, prepare your milkshake and whip cream (or just buy it in a can!). Be prepared to pour, stack and serve right after you make your milkshake.

And lastly, pre-drill holes into any desserts that need it (obv not the donuts) using a plain skewer or even a meat thermometer. Carefully stack the treats on the cute themed drink stirrer from Delovely Details (use a plain skewer if you need an extension), add your paper straw, hang tag and any other embellishments, and enjoy!
