When I was young, I would go on weeks long summer vacations with my grandparents in their fifth wheel trailer. Some of my favorite childhood memories took place with the two of them and me and the open road in the middle of nowhere. They took me to Sequoia, Redwood, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Tetons and of course, the Grand Canyon. In the spirit of those two, and with my obsession for vintage travel trailers, let me share with you our brand new set, these Happy Camper Party Decorations!
While my grandma and grandpa drove me around with a much larger trailer, a fifth wheel, these adorably petite camper illustrations are so perfect for a multitude of celebrations. I can envision a first birthday, baby shower or even decor for a fun family reunion – really so many events! Take a look at our cute lakeside setup, with homemade desserts, easy snacks and gorgeous decor.
Our Travel Trailer backdrop sign comes as a digital file, that we have available here. For our dessert table, I chose to hand cut the camper shape out from the background, and hang some of the patterned paper pennant pieces on the front. And no, that camper is magically floating in mid air – it is taped to a handmade PVC pipe stand that looks kind of like an “L”. A couple of photographer’s sand bags on the feet of the L are under the table, and voila! Magic!

S’mores cupcakes and carrot cupcakes were treated to matching cupcake wrappers and trailer shaped toppers that are included in this set – so easy to assemble and SO cute! These tasty cereal treat bars were made with rice krispies, fruity pebbles and cocoa krispies, and were shaped with these ice cream bar silicone molds.

We almost always include our mini popcorn boxes in our printable kits – they are a great size for serving not just popcorn but a multitude of snacks! Little jars with berries were also on the table and decorated mason jars filled with lemonade washed everything down.

Very simple flower arrangements of wildflowers were displayed in vintage milk bottles and tied with one of the printable tags from the set. A plastic scalloped stand frame holds a themed sign that is also included.

Our camper covered pennant banner spells out Happy Birthday, but you can spell out anything you wish. We also hung some triangle pennant pieces cut out from the many pages of patterned paper in the set, and you’ll never believe it, but we stitched the whole thing together on a standard sewing machine!
